Anger, Bitterness and UnforgivenessTo His Glory Ministry
PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ IS FROM GOD’S WORD AND IT LEAVES VERY LITTLE ROOM FOR DEBATE, OR DISAGREEMENT. THE LORD GOD ADDRESSES ANGER, BITTERNESS AND UNFORGIVENESS IN HIS WORD AND HIS WORD IS TRUE. IF WHEN READING THIS IT SEEMS DIRECT AND TO THE POINT; IT IS: IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH ANGER, BITTERNESS, OR UNFORGIVENESS THEN IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO HEAR THE LORD DIRECTLY ON THIS ISSUE WITHOUT ANY FLUFF. IT IS HIS WORD AND HIS PROMISE. PLEASE UNDERSTAND HOW SERIOUS THIS IS. HIS WORD IS TRUE AND HE IS TRUE.
If you, and you means the person reading this, are searching for God’s answer to the unforgiveness, anger and bitterness in your life then you must understand that if you are a Born Again child of God; YOU HAVE WILLING CHOSEN TO RESIDE IN THIS CESSPOOL. The enemy has consumed you and taken your eyes off of Christ.
Anger, bitterness of unforgiveness toward someone else usually comes from something that happened in the past. None of us can live in or change the past of our own lives or that of previous generations. The ability, willingness or desire to change the past is not possible? The past is the past, and it is exactly that; the past. There is no way to change it and no way to alter it, not for you, me or anyone else. It is what it is, and it stands for all eternity as it happened, not how any of us perceive it to have happened, but how it actually did happen. Remember, GOD IS IN CONTROL AND HE KNOWS THE TRUTH, ALL TRUTH FOR ALL PERSONS AND ALL GENERATIONS. Right or wrong it is what it is.
What each of us have; is the opportunity by the grace of God, to have whatever did happen to be totally covered by the blood of The Lord Jesus and remembered no more by the King of the Universe. Our sins may be cast as far as the east is from the west.
His Word also tells us, each will stand individually before Him and give an account of our life. He is the final Judge and the one who has the power to grant eternal life or send us to hell. So why would we want to keep any of our sins and try to bear the burden ourselves?
You see, God’s rules for forgiveness are simple, and they were quoted directly by the Lord Jesus Christ:
“IF YOU WILL FORGIVE OTHERS HE (THE FATHER) WILL FORGIVE YOU. IF YOU DON’T FORGIVE OTHERS, HE WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU.” (Matthew 6: / Mark 11: / Luke 6: / John 20:; read the entire chapters, it is very important)
God’s if/then promises are just that: promises. If you do what He says to do, He will do what he says. If you don’t, then curses will fall on you just as well.
When it comes to the unforgiveness, the circumstances, what happened, who was wrong or who was right just don’t matter, neither does how much we may have been wronged by someone else. Please understand it does not matter. God’s IF/THEN promise does not take any of the detail into account, because at this point it is not relevant. It is just this simple: God says: You forgive others or I will not forgive you.
But wait a minute you say; my situation is different. “If God is a just God this does not apply to how I was wronged”.
Okay, however; do you know that God is just and tells clearly that we are not to seek revenge?
Romans 12:17–21 (NASB95) 17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (see also Psalm 94: Deuteronomy 32: Proverbs 20:)
He settles all of these matters with His perfect justice in His perfect timing.
So first big question: DO YOU TRUST GOD? If the answer is YES then trust Him; if the answer is NO, then why don’t you?
Again does He not say: “IF YOU WILL FORGIVE OTHERS HE (THE FATHER) WILL FORGIVE YOU. IF YOU DON’T FORGIVE OTHERS, HE WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU.”
Okay, so let’s just apply God’s own principles to God. Not to test Him but to demonstrate His Holiness. In other words; does He live by the same rules that He has given us? Or maybe another way to ask the question is: Is He Holy? I think maybe we need to look at what He did in order to answer that.
I think you may know what happened when The Lord Jesus Christ walked this earth, but let me refresh your memory.
“The Father so loved the world, (what does the word love mean: in this case it means doing that which is the very best thing for the other person [meaning us, you and I along with all human beings on this planet] ), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but has eternal life.” John 3:16 please go and read the entire chapter.
If the Father sent His Son, because the Son was willing to do so, into the world; why did The Lord Jesus have to suffer and die? Why was He beaten to the point of being unrecognizable and then hung (nailed like a slab of meat) on a tree to slowly suffocate and die an absolutely horrible death?
The Answer: because of your (and my) sin. Yes yours (and mine). If you or I had never sinned it would not have been necessary. Your (and my) sin put him on the cross. He endured the beatings, the mocking’s and the horrible death because of your (and my) sin. It was The Father’s will that this may happen, that His Son would drink from this cup, because The Father and the Son loves you and I (all of mankind) so much. But that wasn’t the worse part.
What did the Father do when His innocent Son hung on the cross and cried out to the Father?
He looked away from the sin put on His innocent Son. Can you imagine that? His Son was only there because of what YOU (and I) did. His Son was made a sin offering for the whole world. His Son was not guilty of any crime. His Son did nothing wrong. His Son was perfect. His Son went willingly to that cross because of YOU (and I). He was unjustly accused of wrong doings and then crucified, literally beaten to a pulp and then nailed to a tree and hung up for the entire universe to see, as he slowly suffered an agonizing death of suffocation in intense pain.
His Son was beaten and crucified BECAUSE OF YOUR (and my) SIN, because of the SINS we have committed. YOU (and I) ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS.
Why did the Father allow His only begotten Son to be tortured and suffer as He did? Do you think that He could not have stopped it? Do you think for a heartbeat that He could have just as easily vaporized this entire galaxy and taken His Son away from such atrocity?
WHY DID THE FATHER ALLOW HIS SON TO GO THROUGH THIS? WHY DID HE TURN AWAY WHEN HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON CRIED OUT?
YOU DO KNOW THAT IT WAS YOURS(and mine) FAULT THAT HIS SON WAS HANGING THERE ON THE CROSS. It was our rebellion against God and our sin that caused Him to be beaten and spit on. It was you and I who drove the nails in His hands and feet. Don’t you think that if anyone has the right to be angry, bitter or unforgiving TOWARD YOU AND ME, it is the Father?
Wait a minute you say; I didn’t do that!!!
Actually you did, I did and every person born of the flesh who has ever lived on this planet did. Each and every one of us has sinned, and the entire reason that the Son (The Lord Jesus Christ) was tortured and crucified was for OUR SIN.
So, why did The Father allow it?
BECAUSE HE, GOD THE FATHER, LOVES YOU! YES YOU, regardless of what you (and I) did to HIS SON. He loves you more than any of us can fathom.
THE FATHER KNEW THAT THE ONLY WAY THAT YOU AND I COULD BE RECONCILED WITH HIM WAS TO ALLOW US TO WRONG HIS SON THE WAY WE DID ON THE CROSS, AND THEN FOR HIS SON TO SUFFER AND DIE.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HAD TO SHED HIS BLOOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF SIN IN FULL OR YOU AND I WOULD DIE IN OUR SINS AND BE ETERNALLY SEPARATED FROM THE FATHER.
NOW, WILL THE FATHER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO HIS SON?
THE FATHER SAID HE WILL FORGIVE YOU, IF YOU WILL FORGIVE THOSE WHO SIN AGAINST YOU!!!!!
So tell me this, hard and to the nails, the nails of the cross, IF YOU ARE BITTER, HATEFULL, UNFORGIVING OR ANGRY AT SOMEONE ELSE; WHY, DO YOU NOT WANT TO BE FORGIVEN OF YOUR SINS? DO YOU REALLY WANT TO CARRY THAT BURDEN?
If you call Christ your Lord, if you are a born again Christian, have you forgiven those who have sinned against you?
Have you forgiven (insert name# 1)? If not, why? God is willing to forgive you.
Have you forgiven (insert name# 2)? If not, why? God is willing to forgive you.
Who else have you not forgiven? Why?
DO YOU BELIEVE HIS WORD IS TRUE?
YOU DO KNOW THAT IF YOU BELIEVE HIS WORD THEN THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT FORGIVING OTHERS AND PRAYING FOR THEM?.
Okay; but you may reply, “But you do not know how bad I was hurt.”
You are right no one else knows, but God does. However, are you trying to tell me that someone has done something to you worse than what you (and each one of us) did to the Lord Jesus Christ?
THE LORD JESUS SAYS THIS DIRECTLY TO EACH OF US: “THE FATHER IS NOT GOING TO FORGIVE YOU UNTIL YOU FORGIVE THEM.” GO AND READ IT IN HIS WORD, IT IS AN UNCONDITIONAL PROMISE FROM GOD HIMSELF (Matthew 6: 14; 18:35; Mark 11:26).
GOD HATES BITTERNESS AND UNFORGIVENESS AND WILL NOT ALLOW IT FROM OR IN HIS CHILDREN.
If you are not getting this, then my next question in all love is: ARE YOU TRULY GOD THE FATHERS SON or DAUGHTER, BORN AGAIN OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT, OR ARE YOU SOMEONE WHO JUST CLAIMS TO BE? OUCH! I know that is direct and to the point but if you are not willing to forgive others then THIS is a question that you really need to be asked.
The Lord Jesus Christ says the world will know those who are truly His by their love for one another. (John 13:35; 1 John 4:20)
If you have bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart towards someone else then where is your love toward that person?
If you believe that Jesus Christ Is The Son of God and are relying upon Him for your salvation then there is just no way you can treat other people any way you want. The Lord tells us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your strength and all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27; Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37) Come on, you just can’t love someone if you hold something in your heart against them. And do you realize that by holding on to this unforgiveness you open the door to the enemy?
Continue in this quagmire of unforgiveness, no matter how much you have been hurt, is not something that should come from someone who has surrendered all to the Lord Jesus Christ, from someone who truly believes, has faith and trusts in God. Again, He tells us, those who love Him will love each other and love their neighbor as themselves. The Word of God does not allow bitterness and anger to be a part of love. Go and read 1 Corinthians 13: and Colossians 3:
We are ALL guilty of putting His Son on the cross. We will each stand before Him individually; because each one of us has sinned and each one of us is responsible for the death of His Son, but if we believe, have faith and trust in Him, then the Blood shed by the Lamb that was slain is our covering before The Father. We can be Holy for He is Holy!
If you understand the importance of this, now is the time to give it all to Him. Repent before Him and ask for forgiveness of your sins, and then ask Him to forgive you for the un-forgiveness, hatred, anger and bitterness you have in your heart toward others. If you truly want all of this to end, then take this to Him and give it ALL to Him. All means ALL. He wants to cleanse you and remove this from your life, and will do so if you are willing to truly hand it over to him. The enemy right now has you by his grips and delights in torturing you. But he is a defeated enemy and his only grip on you as a Born Again Christian is what you allow him to have. Believe God’s promise is true; put on the full armor of God and simply ignore the enemy’s attacks. The Lord Jesus will give you power, strength and deliverance from this if you will only repent and turn to Him.
You shouldn’t take my word or anyone else’s word on this, Just simply ask Him directly. Read Matthew 7:7. His Word tells us that we should ask Him. He will answer and His answer will never contradict the Word of God. Truly ask him with an open heart. Not only will He answer you He will then confirm it in His Word in a way that He and only He can. He is a good Father and He wants only what is the best for His children.
IF YOU CAN; PRAY THIS PRAYER AND REALLY MEAN IT. IF YOU TRULY WANT THE POWER OF GOD TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE THEN PROCEED. IF NOT AND YOU JUST WANT TO CONTINUE WALLOWING IN YOUR OWN MYRE OF ANGER, BITTERNESS AND UNFORGIVENESS THEN STOP RIGHT NOW; THE ENEMY DELIGHTS IN YOUR PAIN.
Okay if you are still with me and if you truly want the Power of God to lift you out of THIS, and you can truly pray this from your heart, then go to Him in humility and pray this prayer or something very similar:
Father God, Abba, I love you and I love you dearly. You are my Father and it is to you and you alone that I give my heart. Father, I have sinned against You in ways that only You know, and I truly come before You right now and confess those sins to you. I confess all those which I know, and confess all things I have ever said or done not in Your will or offending to You in any way, even if I don’t know or understand the offense. I come to You in humbleness, in reverence and with the fear of the Lord. I ask You Father to wash me with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and make me white as snow. Wash my mouth, lips and tongue for all the words I have ever said that were not pleasing to You. Wash my eyes for what I have looked upon that is not in your will. Wash my ears for the things that I have heard and listened to that are contrary to Your holiness. Wash my mind. Lord it has been a cesspool of filth and unclean thoughts and an open door for the enemy to bombard. Wash every cell and tissue in my body with the blood of the Lord Jesus, I have sinned against you in so many ways that I cannot count. Please forgive me, I repent and renounce the sin in my life. Wash me clean. Father, my heart is evil and wicked above all things, take my heart and render it in the refiner’s fire. Remove all of the dross and wickedness. Change my heart to be the heart of Christ. Change my mind to be the Mind of Christ obeying the commands of The Father. Your Word tells us that we cannot love you unless we obey you. Change me that I may be obedient to you.
Father, You and You alone are the only one who can take the spirit of unforgiveness, bitterness and hatred from me. Father, I humbly approach You and answer the door of my heart that You are knocking on. I know that only by the supernatural Power of God can this be removed from me. I humbly repent and ask You Father for Your healing hand and Your touch.
Please forgive me for the way I have treated You Lord and the persons I have been bitter and unforgiving to. I lift them up before You Lord and ask that Your hand of mercy and grace be upon them. Please restore unto me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
Father, you have told us that if we ask anything in the name of Your Son that if will be given. I know this prayer is in Your will and know You will answer it. So Father, I trust You and You alone. Change me Lord, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now if you can pray this prayer and actually meant it, then your life will change. Not because this writing says so but YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE BY THE POWER OF GOD; because it is the promise of God. It is His will and His Promise and His POWER that will change you because you have come to Him in humility, reverence and fear with a willing and repentant heart. TO HIM; BE ALL THE GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE. THANK HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR WHAT HE HAS JUST DONE IN YOUR LIFE. Watch and witness the Power of God. Everyone who knows you well will see a change. Always, always, always give Him; All the Honor, All the Glory, All the Praise and Thanksgiving for what He has done and what He is going to do in your life.
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD who loves us dearly and wants nothing but what is the best for us. Listen to this awesome promise:
Psalm 25:8–14 (NASB95) 8 Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. 9 He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. 10 All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. 11 For Your name’s sake, O Lord, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. 12 Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. 13 His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land. 14 The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.
All to His Glory
