Ears To Hear and Eyes To See

Transcript from the Radio Series : Who Do You Choose To Serve?
Do you have ears to hear and eyes to see?
Isaiah 6:6–10 (NASB95) 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. 7 He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.” 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” 9 He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.’ 10 “Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed.”
The Creator of the Universe, He Who Sits Upon the Throne and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ The Lamb who was slain love all of mankind. They have cleared the path so those who choose, may have eternal life, be born of the Spirit of the Living God and have the same Holy Spirit of the Father with them and in them. Listen to the simple promises He makes:
Jeremiah 29:11–14 (The Living Bible) 11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest. 14 Yes, says the Lord, I will be found by you, and I will end your slavery and restore your fortunes; I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and bring you back home again to your own land.
Who do you think the Lord God was speaking to? Who do you think these promises are for? Were the promises given by the Lord through Jeremiah, only the Old Testament Jews? Or just for the Apostles. Of course not; they were to His Children. Those who believe in Him, have Faith and Trust Him as God. This includes you and I today. All who are born again sons and daughters of the King!  So what are these promises, let’s take a closer look.
  • Promise:
“I will be found by you.”  What does this mean and has this happened?
Matthew 7:7–11 (The Living Bible) 7 “Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will open. 9 If a child asks his father for a loaf of bread, will he be given a stone instead? 10 If he asks for fish, will he be given a poisonous snake? Of course not! 11 And if you hard-hearted, sinful men know how to give good gifts to your children, won’t your Father in heaven even more certainly give good gifts to those who ask him for them?
Revelation 3:19–21 (NASB95) 19 ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
John 14:23–24 (The Living Bible) 23 Jesus replied, “Because I will only reveal myself to those who love me and obey me. The Father will love them too, and we will come to them and live with them. 24 Anyone who doesn’t obey me doesn’t love me. And remember, I am not making up this answer to your question! It is the answer given by the Father who sent me.
  • Promise made –  “I will be found by you.”  and promise fulfilled  for whosoever believes.

  • Promise:
He promisedto end our slavery”; has He not done so by ending the slavery we had to sin. Did He not go to the cross for you and I and end the bondage to sin each and every one of us have by suffering and dying on the cross that His blood may pay the price in full.  His blood is the new covenant we live under. Sin and death have been defeated.
  • Promise made –  “end our slavery”  – and promise fulfilled for whosoever believes.

  • Promise:
Did He not promise to “restore our fortunes”; and has He not restored our fortunes by the gift of eternal life. Our names are written in the Lambs’ Book of Life. We are  sons and daughters of the King of the universe and will spend eternity with Him. What He has for us in heaven is beyond our ability to even imagine.  Please tell me what has more value than eternal life, not all the treasures of the earth can compare to the value of this. Yes, our fortunes have been restored.
  • Promise made –  ”restore our fortunes” – and promise fulfilled for whosoever believes.

  • Promise:
He said “I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you.”  Yes He has done so, He has gathered those who seek Him out of the nations of world religions and unbelief. For all who are born again, have they not been gathered from the worldly religions and nations and been given safe haven in Him.
  • Promise made  – “I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you” – and promise fulfilled for whosoever believes.

  • Promise:
And what about “returning us to our home again to our own land?”  Yes He has done so? Wait a minute you may say this is a promise only for the future; I do not live in this earthy Jerusalem or in Israel. Okay, quit trying to understand heavenly things with carnal minds. He has confirmed this promise in His own Words while He walked on this earth in a human body.  Go and read it for yourself in John 14: – 17:. This earth is not our home, we are not of this world;  we are in the world but not of this world. Our home is the New Heavens and the New Earth, the Heavenly Jerusalem; Mt. Zion in the New Heavens. The heavenly Jerusalem, the new heavens and the new earth that is our home. If one is born again and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life we have free access to the heavenly city. We can boldly come before the throne. We are citizens of the New Heavens and the New Earth which has existed before the foundations of this earth.
Please go and read Proverbs 8; yes it takes wisdom, heavenly wisdom freely given to those who are His; those who humble themselves before Him and come to Him in earnest. He says it so clearly, this is not our home throughout the Gospels and when directly questioned by Pilate what was His reply; let’s hear it from His own words:
John 18:33–38 (The Living Bible) 33 Then Pilate went back into the palace and called for Jesus to be brought to him. “Are you the King of the Jews?” he asked him. 34 “ ‘King’ as you use the word or as the Jews use it?” Jesus asked. 35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate retorted. “Your own people and their chief priests brought you here. Why? What have you done?” 36 Then Jesus answered, “I am not an earthly king. If I were, my followers would have fought when I was arrested by the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of the world.” 37 Pilate replied, “But you are a king then?” “Yes,” Jesus said. “I was born for that purpose. And I came to bring truth to the world. All who love the truth are my followers.” 38“What is truth?” Pilate exclaimed. Then he went out again to the people and told them, “He is not guilty of any crime.
Why did He say “my Kingdom is not of this world”. Because The Kingdom of Heaven is within each one of us who are born again. The Kingdom of Heaven lives with you and in you, if we are born again and your name in written in the Lambs Book of Life. This world is not our home. This world and the King or God of this world along with all who choose to follow him are reserved for eternal damnation and destruction   Did He not promise He would never leave us or abandon us as orphans?
  • Promise made – “returning us to our home again to our own land” – and promise fulfilled for whosoever believes.

  • Promise:
By His own words He says I came to bring truth to this world.”  Did He not come to bring heavenly truth and wisdom to those who earnestly humble, fear, obey and reverence Him? Did He not only leave us His Word, but also the Holy Spirit of the Living God to be with us and in us to show us all truth.
Did He not tell us we will be taught by Him.
Jeremiah 31:33–34 (NASB95) 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 “They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
John 6:43–46 (NASB95) 43 Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. 45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. 46 “Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
And that a new covenant will be in effect.
Hebrews 8:7–13 (NASB95) 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second. 8 For finding fault with them, He says, “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, When I will effect a new covenant With the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; 9 Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers On the day when I took them by the hand To lead them out of the land of Egypt; For they did not continue in My covenant, And I did not care for them, says the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people. 11And they shall not teach everyone his fellow citizen, And everyone his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ For all will know Me, From the least to the greatest of them. 12For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And I will remember their sins no more.” 13 When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.
  • Promises made – “I came to bring truth to this world.” – and promises fulfilled for whosoever believes.

Do you think these promises were made and have not yet been fulfilled? The Lord Himself fulfilled them and confirmed it with the crowd gathered in John 6:. The new covenant was set in place by the shedding of His Blood. The Holy Spirit through the writer of Hebrews confirms it again. This has been in effect for that last 2015 years.
He did not leave us as orphans, simply with His Word and a pat on the head telling us to figure it out. No, He has given us the Holy Spirit of the Living God to be with us and in us and He and the Father are there for us in every situation. Even the hairs on our head are numbered. Truly, how can anyone believe or teach that we can no longer hear His Voice. Or that He no longer sends signs and miracles?
Have you not read John 10:  “My sheep hear my voice and to another they will not listen”   What about John 14:  “I will not leave you as orphans.” (Is He not saying I will not leave you as orphans to try to figure it out on your own?)
Do you have ears, but will not listen? Do you have eyes but refuse to see? Do you not know that He will never lead you where He cannot keep you? Do you not know that He will never contradict His Word?
Those who are humble in heart, those who fear Him and those who love Him are those who He, The Father, draws near to Him, The Son, and they hear His voice and He comes to them, to another they will not listen. These are His truths and His promises. Go for yourself and read His Word, and His promises. Quit trying to understand heavenly things with earthly or carnal understanding. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you, teach you and guide you.
Listen to the salutation given by the Holy Spirit though the Apostle Jude starting in verse 20::
20 But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. 21 Stay always within the boundaries where God’s love can reach and bless you. Wait patiently for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy is going to give you. 22 Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt. 23 Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself. And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves aren’t pulled along into their sins. Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners. 24 And now—all glory to him who alone is God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord; yes, splendor and majesty, all power and authority are his from the beginning; his they are and his they evermore shall be. And he is able to keep you from slipping and falling away, and to bring you, sinless and perfect, into his glorious presence with mighty shouts of everlasting joy. Amen. Jude
About 2,000 years ago:  The Father in His perfect timing, sent The Son, who willing came to give His life as a ransom for you and I. on this little speck of dust in the universe. The Father sent The Son because both the Father and the Son loved us,  that means you and I , so much  that He did not want a single one of us to perish. He has given each of us the opportunity to become His son or daughter and spend eternity with Him in heaven. There is only one requirement, believe in His Son.
The Son has fulfilled all that was written about Him, and cleared the way that the Holy Spirit may be with and in each of us who believe, have faith and trust in Him.
With ears to hear and eyes to see it is right there before us in His Word. But the choice is ours; yes each one of us must choose.
Specifically to the reader: Do you choose the god, the wisdom, the promises and treasures of this world, or do you choose the Creator of Heaven and Earth; He who sits upon the Throne:  the Alpha and the Omega.
God sees and knows our hearts, and our actions produce fruit, be it good fruit or thorns and thistles.
Whichever we choose; that is who we will serve.

All to His Glory!
